Growing up with a passion for Italian food, our head chef and co-owner, has spent the last 10 years working as the head chef at Leonardo’s of Hamilton, creating mouth-watering Italian dishes for customers, whilst also raising his two young sons with his wife and co-owner, just a stones throw from our new venue.
A long time dream of opening their own restaurant for friends and family in the Southside of Glasgow finally became a reality, when the chance to open a second Leonardo’s came their way. With a venue already in mind and after months of renovation and hard work the old Solicitors office on the corner of Paisley Road West and Crookston Road has been transformed into a beautiful Italian restaurant ready to welcome the local community.
In Italian culture, family is everything and at Leonardo’s it’s at the heart of everything we do. Owned by husband and wife duo, who in true Italian style, are supported by close family with the day-to-day running of the business. In fact the whole team are just like one big extended family supporting and helping one another to make Leonardo’s the best Italian kitchen this side of the river Clyde.
Our passion for Italian food and the family way of life is reflected in everything we do. We use only the freshest of ingredients and source local where possible, our kitchen team are passionate about Italian food and our front-of-house team are the friendliest bunch of people you’ll ever meet (hands up – we’re a little biased) and always are on hand to help pair the perfect glass of wine with your favourite Italian dish.
Life at Leonardo’s began when we opened our big brother venue, Leonardo’s of Hamilton 10 years ago. We’ve a handpicked selection of our favourite dishes from Leonardo’s of Hamilton and created some new sensational Southside classics you’ll love. Using only the juiciest Italian tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, Italian capers and olives to bring depth to our sauces along with locally sourced Scottish seafood and quality meats in our homemade pizzas, pastas and risottos.
Team favourites include Linguine Langostine e Gamberoni – fresh langoustines and juicy prawns and the Pollo Saltimbocca with Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella. Vegetarians will love Risotto Asparagus, made with garlic, white wine and cream and we have gluten free pasta, so everyone can enjoy our most loved pasta dishes. Our head chef creates daily specials and the most tempting desserts, you have to try our famous homemade Tiramisu…
When it comes to tipples, we’ve handpicked the perfect selection of Italian wines, beers, spirits and cocktails to compliment our dishes and our staff are always on-hand to recommend the best Italian wines to bring out the flavours of our dishes.
